A Selling Fast Nudge shows how quickly a product might sell out. By showing that your products are selling fast, you trigger a Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) , encouraging your customers to take action immediately.
How the Selling Fast Nudge works
Selling Fast Nudges use live data from your stock room and when and how often a product has been sold. It uses both pieces of information to estimate how soon a product will sell out.
You need to enable inventory tracking on your store to show this Nudge on your website. As long as you do that, the Selling Fast Nudge is configured automatically when you activate it. You don’t need to adjust any settings.
Depending on the number of items left in stock, and on the amount of times the product has been sold recently, Selling Fast Nudges can display 3 different messages:
- If a product is likely to be sold out within 1 to 12 hours, it will show the time in hours, e.g. “This product is likely to be sold out in less than 3 hours”
- If a product is likely to be sold out within more than 12 hours but less than 5 days, it will show the time in days, e.g. “This product is likely to be sold out in less than 2 days”
- If a product is likely to be sold out within more than 5 days, but less than 2 weeks, it will show the time in weeks, e.g. “This product is likely to be sold out in less than 2 weeks”
If the item is not likely to sell out within 2 weeks, the Selling Fast Nudge does not show.
Add Selling Fast Nudges to your Product pages
Selling Fast Nudges only work on product pages. They collect and show the stock and purchase data of the product that matches the product page they show on.
If you try to add Selling Fast Nudges to another page on your store, they won’t show.
